No Napping Jack

Team Jesus

Jack was christened in All Saints Episcopal Church in Mobile, the same church where we were married. Godparents are Katie Anderson, Rebecca Lauck-Cleary, Joey Austin and Carter Speed.

Most folks at the church said Jack was the coolest and cutest baby to ever be baptized there.
Of course.

Gobble Gobble

Thanksgiving at Lake Pickwick with the Anderson family was fun. It rained, we fished, we howled at the moon by the campfire and we watched the Ole Miss Rebels blow a fourth quarter lead to lose to the lowly Miss. State Bulldogs in the Egg Bowl.

Sip & See

In October, Aunt Celia, Aunt Lea & Cousin Terral gave a "Sip & See" party for Jack at the Downtown Grill in Oxford. That means they all slammed wine and oohed and ahhed over Jack in a frilly suit.

Jack Goes To The Grove

Jacks' first trip to the Grove came a few weeks into a(nother) dismal season by the Ole Miss Rebels. It didn't stop him from rocking the grove in a red & blue antique pram. The ladies loved him. Dudes too.

In August, the Speed Family drove down to Mobile.

Coming Home

After about a day and several bottles of champagne, Jack came home. Tom drove white-knuckled the whole way.

Throngs of admirers flocked.

Welcome To Earth, Jack Speed

On July 19, 2007 young Jack Speed made his first appearance on Earth, greeting by his Mom and Dad, his Grandmother ("Darlin'") and Uncle Carter & Aunt Lea. Very soon, Aunt Celia, his Grandfather (The "Grand Dude"), Uncle Dave, Auntie Katie came to visit.

Here are some photos from his arrival:
